| Natural responses to being touched can become distorted by events in a person's personal history. This may happen because of trauma, abuse, or prolonged physical or emotional pain. The model or image of the body that is experienced internally can become altered, making recovery more difficult. | |
| Zero Balancing establishes an interface between the therapist and the client in which the boundaries remain quite distinct yet very sensitively 'in touch'. The safety of this respectful connection can enable the person to reclaim their body and rediscover the positive aspects of human touch. It can be a profoundly healing experience for some people simply to feel good within their body. | ![]() |
| Because the touch has a clear and respectful quality and is directed to bone, Zero Balancing is often acceptable to people who find other forms of bodywork painful, intrusive or too intimate. | |
