Deep Massage I and II
The Lauterstein Method

A 30 Hour Intensive at Gaunts House, Wimborne, Dorset, England

Deep Massage - The Lauterstein Method is David’s unique approach to structural and energetic bodywork. It has its roots in the traditions of Zero Balancing, Rolfing and CST.

Participants are taught:
• How to do a complete session that addresses the entire body with Deep Massage
• How to touch energy as well as structure, simultaneously and consciously, with soft tissue fulcrums
• How to utilize working signs to optimize touch and session design
• How to energetically potentiate touch by paying close attention to freeing the body-mind energy centres and exploring David’s model of Seven Dimensions of Touch.

No oils are used with this massage, therefore the skills you learn can readily be used to complement McTimoney Chiropractic, Zero Balancing and other modalities. The effect of the work is unique. It doesn’t just relax muscles; it is deeply satisfying to the mind and spirit. It gives clients a new sense of themselves, and while a Deep Massage session is completely beneficial in and of itself, there is no doubt that it helps to integrate any other work you may do.

Students work with each other under supervision, to the benefit of all. Four days of Deep Massage in such an environment promises to be a nourishing and healing experience for each participant.

£475 inclusive of residential costs, manual and DVD

Prerequisites:
A love and some understanding of anatomy is essential. The class is open to Zero Balancers, practitioners of massage or bodywork, movement therapists, chiropractors, nurses. and other medical professionals fascinated by the potential of somatic therapy. A background in massage is not necessary as a full protocol will be taught.
